I commend them on the better communication we’ve had recently, especially in the light of some fairly important problems.
First of all, they’ve implemented an auto-renew on their subscriptions. So, go and check your account. If you don’t want it set to auto-renew, go change it. It was done without consent, and GOA have apologised for this. But seriously, go check your account status, even if you’ve cancelled. There may be issues here – and Magnus has promised to keep people informed. All we can do is recommend you’re set up for what you want to be set up for, and that you spread the word to your guilds/friends/people you know who’ve cancelled/etc.
Secondly, servers have been having stability problems with some large-scale battles. Apparently this isn’t just a European problem, but it led to a campaign reset on the ‘cursed’ Karak Eight Peaks. Campaigns have been reset where they broke, which is disheartening at best, but let’s face it, it’s something GOA and Mythic need to work on.
Thanks to Magnus for the update on the situation. I’m sure we’ll hear more soon.

Not setting the auto renew to off, is really very stupid. Its not what I would like to see from GOA.
I have to be honest but some needs to grab there back office team and give them a slapping. For going out and just generating negative publicity for no real gain. GOA have a bad enough image as it is and this is just adds to the fire.
Someone made a decision here and they need to be given a written warning.
Billing people without explicit contractual consent is a criminal offence in some European countries… “Oh sorry” doesn’t quite cut it.
